Sports Update From The Athletics Director

ISBerne Win The Track & Field Invitational

On Thursday, May 17, we hosted the annual ISBerne Track & Field Invitational at Wankdorf Stadium.

ISBerne has been hosting this event for 30+ years, it is the largest sporting event that we host, which includes students from Grades 2-11.

The other schools in attendance were: ISLausanne, ICSZurich, Aiglon College, Haut Lac IS, Geneva English School, GEMS-Etoy, ISSchaffhausen, and JFK.

It was an extremely competitive meet for each of the age groups: under 9, under 11, under 14, and under 17.

And this year, after all the years of hosting the event, the ISBerne Track and Field Team finally brought the Overall Championship Trophy home!

It has been a long time in the making, growing the program and more commitment from our student-athletes.

This victory is also shared with all those student-athletes in previous years who helped build the program and to all the teachers and staff members who have been working the event, continuing to support our students through all the difficult, heartbreaking years.

Congratulations to all of the ISBerne Community and especially to our student-athletes.

May 5 Athletic Meet Results

On Saturday, May 5, the middle and high school track and field team attended the SGIS Meet in Geneva.

There were 10 schools participating at the meet, in four different age categories.

With our four age categories combined, ISBerne finished in second place, behind the host school of International School of Geneva.
